Our cannabis sampling specialist will travel to the distributors licensed premise and take primary and field duplicate samples of the cannabis or cannabis products to be tested. The distributor, or a designated employee must be present to observe our sampling specialist as the samples are taken, however this person is prohibited from assisting with the sampling process.

The total number of products required for testing depends on the product batch size. Please refer to the chart below for the number which will be needed per batch size:

The maximum batch size for cannabis products is 150,000 pieces

Regulations require a primary testing sample and a field duplicate sample, each of which must consist of 0.035% of the harvest batch. So in total, our sampling specialist will obtain 0.7% of the harvest batch for sampling purposes. For a 10 lb batch this would equal 11.2 oz. For a 50 lb batch this would equal 3.5 lb’s.

When placing an order through our online ordering system you will select a sampling date from our availability calendar. You will be sent a confirmation email for your sampling appointment date within one business day of placing your order.

Samples of cannabis and cannabis products must be taken from the licensed cannabis distributor for testing before delivery to the licensed retailer.
